Choral Scholars

Choral scholars are young people of secondary school age and are mostly drawn from choristers who have progressed through the internally awarded levels of the Voice for Life Scheme. However it is possible to join as a choral scholar if the young person has the voice skills necessary to the busy musical life of the church and who would like to take advantage of the Royal School of Church Music’s fine voice training and musicianship scheme.  Choral Scholarships will particularly suit young people studying music at GCSE level.

The Choral Scholars sing every Sunday morning and three Sunday evenings per month plus occasional midweek services.

A small honorarium is paid at the end of each term.

Entry is through a simple voice test
