The Choir

St. Oswald's Parish Church Choir is an SATB choir which routinely sings the cathedral and collegiate church repertoire (see our music lists) and operates to the standard that is found in our cathedral and collegiate churches.

The Choir comprises 3 sections:-

The Junior Choir
Choral Scholars
The Adult Choir

The adult section comprises altos, tenors and basses. We are recruiting new members for the choir! Please do get in touch if you’d be interested in singing. Being able to read music is always helpful, but it isn’t essential — that’s something we can teach. All we ask for is enthusiasm and a voice.
Joining the choir begins with a simple session with me, just to see where we’re at. If that goes well, you’re invited to try the choir for a six-week probation period, with absolutely no obligation to stay afterwards. With singing, it’s important that it’s the right fit — both for the singer and for the choir as a whole.
